My love for photography began at a young age. I watched my brother capture beautiful images, seeing the world in a way that most people didn’t, and I wanted to be like him. I started by taking pictures on an old iPhone, searching for stories in the light, finding interesting angles, and capturing scenes that caught my attention.

In college, my parents gifted me an old Canon AE-1. This camera became an extension of myself. I loved the slow pace of film photography—there are no previews and no takebacks; once the shutter clicks, that’s it. This made me careful about what I photographed. It was both a good practice in patience and a necessity since there are only so many photos in a film roll.

Photography has been a way for me to stay creative outside of my full-time job. I love being able to slow down, observe my surroundings, and create images that preserve those moments.
